Blat Draft

Box Plus/Minus (BPM) estimates a player’s contribution per 100 possessions, combining offense and defense. Zero means league-average production. Positive is above average; negative is below.

We average each player’s NBA regular-season BPM by minutes played across their career, then rank it against 1,727 players from the 1980–2024 draft pool with at least 1,000 career minutes. #1 earns 100 points; the bottom rank earns 0. Your five scores add to a team total out of 500. Pipe widths show each player’s contribution.

A player with fewer than 1,000 minutes is compared with that same pool, but their rank is marked provisional. Active players have an unfinished career. BPM is an estimate from box scores, not a complete measure of defense or team chemistry.

Statistics include the completed 2025–26 season and are frozen so everyone plays with the same career data. Traded players’ total rows are counted once. The best possible team score is revealed after your fifth pick.

Standard mode awards the player with the lowest overall draft number at your chosen position. Advanced mode draws a random NBA player from the selected first-round range, at your chosen position. Its result is fixed for that day, position and range, so restoring cannot reroll a player. Each mode saves its own lineup.

Position is the first listed in their first NBA season. Choosing PG or SG closes G; choosing SF or PF closes F. Picks cannot be changed. On Draft 5, the last position auto-picks after five seconds, using the selected range when available.
